See me climb as high as I can go.. |
Well, I guess
I have a few announcements!
The UK has never been a great friend of mine. In fact, if you've
got a moment, it's been home to some of most boring, annoying,
upsetting and soul destroying moments of my life.
So, for about the last 3 years, I have been thinking of going
somewhere else in the world..
And finally, the opportunity has come up, and I'm taking it.
Simon Apex is
the leading promoter in California, and earlier this year he flew
me over there to DJ his party and CA radio with Charlie B.
I'd been out there a few times before that, but that time was one
of the funniest..
Now, I am heading back there for good, to work with Simon and
maybe help the US scene grow like the UK did.
Apart from
that, I am moving into a house with my girlfriend.. =*D
"Oh Jesus, here we go again.." I hear. But hey, this
time round, the girl has a brain! <g>
She's a music journalist for Spin magazine out there, and is
getting lots of work interviewing these US rock types.. ::spits
on floor:: >;)
I have been
sitting around most of today, thinking about whether it is the
right decision.
I mean, I am leaving College, my family, my close friends, and of
course all of you.
I was moping around when I put on Stealths' "See Me
Climb" and I guess it swayed the decision..
If you don't know it, this is the line which made me grit my
teeth and let my Dad book the flight.
"See
me climb as high as I can go,
Looking down on people far below,
I can try and seek my destiny,
Take a magic carpet ride with me.."
::sigh:: I hope it works out as well as it sounds on paper, but I guess this is the last Diary I will ever write in the UK (unless it all goes wrong). So, to all the ravers that have ever bought one of my records, or listened to one of them and enjoyed it - thank you for making me able to think seriously about this opportunity!
The next diary I write will be from Sacramento, California - so until then..
Rave on dudez!
